Bible Reading Plans
Scripture • Study • Formation
Bible reading plans can help us develop steady rhythms of Scripture engagement. Rather than wondering where to begin each day, a reading plan gives us a simple path to follow, helping us return again and again to the Word of God with attentiveness, prayer, and consistency.
BibleProject Reading Plan
The BibleProject Reading Plan is designed to guide readers through the story of Scripture in a thoughtful and connected way. Each day combines selected Bible readings with BibleProject videos, book overviews, and study resources that help place the passages within the larger biblical narrative.
The plan is now fully integrated into the Daily Bread Intake experience. Daily readings, Psalms, and BibleProject resources are generated automatically each day, allowing readers to move directly into Scripture without needing to search for the correct location in the plan. Scripture links open directly within the Daily Bread Intake Bible environment, helping create a calm, focused, and formation-oriented rhythm of daily reading.
Today’s readings and resources are also displayed automatically in the sidebar, making it easy to continue the daily rhythm from anywhere within the site.
M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
The M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan is a historic and beloved approach to daily Scripture reading developed by Robert Murray M’Cheyne. It guides readers through multiple portions of Scripture each day, creating a rhythm that moves through different sections of the Bible in a balanced and prayerful way.
This plan is especially helpful for readers who want a broader daily pattern of Scripture intake. By reading from more than one part of the Bible each day, the M’Cheyne plan helps readers hear the harmony of Scripture across the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and other biblical books.
